As London calms after the recent 'unrest' I heard some unexpected sounds on my local high street today, a welcome change from the sirens of the last few weeks. On a wide part of the pavement was a guy from Mexico playing pan-pipes accompanied by a backing CD. After speaking to him I learned that his name is 'Pollo' and he descends from one the indigenous tribes of Mexico. I invited him to come over to Soas Radio but alas, he's flying back home this weekend. Here's hoping that he keeps his promise to return next June and to appear on AWIL!
