Peyman Heydarian – AWIL 190 @ ResonanceFM

Kurdish-Celtic-connections via the Khyber Pass of London with Peyman Heydarian on this A World in London!

New Year’s Eve arrived early on AWIL in the form of Peyman Heydarian’s latest and fantastic music project, The Road to the Sea. A constant collaborator of the highest order, Peyman Heydarian returned to our studio with some incredible teammates – Afghan tabla player Sulaiman Haqpana and Scottish violinist Ewan Macdonald, who both added the sweetest ornamentations, and subtle tones to Peyman’s dream-like compositions. The Road To the Sea carves out an alternative to the Silk Road route, through twist & turns in the majestic mountains between Persia, Kurdistan, and Scotland, highlighted by the infinite beauty of Peyman’s music. The Voice Of Santur is rapidly expanding into the Voice of Cultural Connection. See Peyman & friends at the Yalda Night Celebration on December 15th at SOAS! FB:
